Obstacles surround our daily lives in ways that we do not always see. Only when we sit down an start to think about these obstacles, do we start to see them. I would say that I do not always have a great day. In fact, there is usually something negative that happens daily that I may notice. Someday's I notice this more than others. For example, my dog jumping on me. I am trying to break this habit with limited success. The days I really despise him jumping on me, are when it is raining. The mud sticks to his paws, like paint to a painters brush. It never fails that he will jump on me and I will have a paw print that is difficult to get off. I could apply the PEOP this situation, because on intrinsic and extrinsic issues. I am frustrated with my dog for jumping on me with wet, muddy paws. The environment would be inside and outside. I am trying to perform a meaningful activity of taking him outside to play and go to the bathroom. My occupation is his caretaker or giant toy. I would want to improve my frustration with my dog overtime through training, so that he does not jump on me. I am hoping, if he does not jump on me, then he will not jump on others that he meets. This is one obstacle that I can encounter daily. Having a good frame of reference on a situation helps a person to see where they are and where they want to be.
